WHAT TO EXPECT

  • SMALL BUSINESS BREAKTHROUGHS:
    Join Center Director Michael Bowers (SBDC) and special guest Otto Beatty III (The Otto Beatty Companies) for a podcast-style discussion designed to dig into the topics that are impacting your business and keeping you up at night, from funding and networking, to the rewards and challenges of being a small business owner.
  • STAKEHOLDER ADDRESS:
    Representatives from key organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), our SBDC State Lead Center from the Ohio Department of Development, and Columbus State Community College, will provide updates and share essential resources available to business owners. Learn about new programs, grants, and support networks tailored to help small businesses succeed.
  • KIVA COMMUNITY LOAN PROGRAM:
    Certified Business Advisor Ellen Harvey (SBDC) and business partners Erin Ford and Leigh-Ann Houchin (2 Girls with Curls) will discuss the Kiva lending platform, sponsored by SBDC partner Kemba Financial Credit Union.
  • ENTERPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT:
    Hear from Columbus small businesses as they share their financial business journey and how they are achieving success using various funding methods.
  • HOW TO GET THE BANK TO SAY “YES”:
    Bank panel of prominent local lenders known for getting deals done for Central Ohio small business owners. Guests will include Jerome Jones (US Small Business Administration), Mark Klettlinger (Ohio Statewide Development Corporation), and Kenneth Johnson (ECDI).
