Your Presenter: Sandra Moody-Gresham
Sandra is a motivated and energetic insurance expert, professor, public speaker and servant leader who is passionate about serving a range of clients, from families of modest means to multi-million dollar organizations. Her life work has been to further the financial wealth and economic literacy of individuals, businesses and organizations through risk management strategies, financial education, the delivery of high caliber insurance and financial products and cutting-edge industry solutions. As the owner of Dehan Enterprises Insurance & Financial Services LLC, the company’s goal is to assist each client in the creation, accumulation, and protection of wealth. With more than thirty years as a professional insurance and financial services representative, she specializes in commercial insurance risks, group and employee benefits, individual medical plans and surety and fidelity bonds.
Sandra is an Adjunct Professor of Insurance and Risk Management at Franklin University (Columbus, Ohio) were she introduces students to opportunities in the insurance industry and how this product is the foundation to financial security. For approximately twenty years, she has regularly ranked in the top percentile determined by student evaluations and inspired students to learn theoretical concepts, practical application and general social capital skills. Her prowess and passion for her students earned her the 2015 Franklin University Teaching Excellence Award.
Moderator: Barb Parknavy
Barb Parknavy serves as Project Coordinator for SBDC, managing special projects such as the CARES Act Advising Program and the City of Columbus/Franklin County Small Business Recovery Grant. She provides administrative, analytical, training, outreach, and research services in support of the SBDC team.
Barb is a valued member of the team and provided support services to the SBDC while earning her Associates Degree in Business Management from Columbus State Community College where she was awarded the designation of Student Employee of the year in April 2018 and completed dual Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Franklin University May 2021. In addition, Barb owns and operates her own small businesses in artisan crafts and administrative support.
