Join the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Columbus State Community College in partnership with the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center for a podcast-style discussion designed to dig into the topics that are impacting your business and keeping you up at night.

In this edition of “Small Business Breakthroughs,” we will discuss the business career of Todd Wilson, Owner and CEO of Accelerated Laboratory Logistics, that provides relocation services for companies and educational institutions that conduct scientific and engineering research. Accelerated Laboratory Logistics customer list includes many high-end organizations including NASA, University of Notre Dame University, The Ohio State University, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Emory, and many more. Todd will share his experience in building and growing a business from residential and commercial moving to diversifying and adding scientific laboratory equipment moving.

Todd will also share information on the Columbus Museum of African-American History and Culture that he is building out on the east side of Columbus, https://www.coaam.org.

 

Featured Guest, Todd Wilson Todd Wilson is the Owner and CEO of Accelerated Laboratory Logistics (ALL), a company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio that provides relocation services for companies and educational institutions that conduct scientific and engineering research.
Todd’s grandfather started this family business in 1921 as Jacobs and Son Moving and Storage. When Todd took over, he changed the name and direction of the company out of necessity for survival. He initially changed the name to Accelerated Moving and Storage, Inc. and then to Accelerated Laboratory Logistics. Through his vision and leadership, Todd transformed the business from a local moving company into one that specializes in laboratory relocations for colleges, universities, medical centers, and private institutions throughout the country. Todd focused on creating proprietary processes and equipment used to relocate highly sensitive technical apparatus found in chemistry, biology, animal sciences, physics, and engineering research laboratories.

Todd earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Franklin University. Prior to assuming control of the family business, Todd had a successful sales career at Johnson & Johnson and Liberty Mutual Insurance. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion to continue the family business brought him back to Columbus.

Todd is also the founder of the Columbus Museum of African-American History & Culture being created to be the ultimate experience in learning about the history of African-Americans in the city of Columbus, the state of Ohio, and the United States.

Host: Michael Bowers, CBA – Director, Ohio SBDC at Columbus State Community College

Michael Bowers is a Business Advisor and Director for the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Columbus State Community College. The primary focus of the SBDC is to support prospective and existing entrepreneurs as they seek to start and grow businesses in Central Ohio.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Michael is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Public Administration from Liberty University.

Michael has worked with entrepreneurs and small business owners for over 30 years, 20 of which have been in Columbus leading the SBDC. He has a diverse business skill set with experience in banking, private equity, strategic planning, leadership, and public sector management.

Michael is the lead instructor for the Basis of A Successful Enterprise (B.A.S.E) business startup training, as well as the host of the Small Business Breakthroughs YouTube series.
